I am looking at a '49 windsor and don't know what motor would be best for this car? This is my first project so any help would be great.

I think an early hemi would be cool in it. Or maybe a big block with a cross ram or something like that. Or, another idea would be a new 5.7 hemi, the after market is starting to sell lots of parts that make this installation easier, whether you want carburated or injected. In the wonderful world of rods the possibilities are endless, just don't tell me if you are putting a small block chev in it. You will already have a car that will be unique at your local cruises, why put an engine in it that 75% of the other cars there have?

Heck ya got one the most reliable engines Chrysler ever made in it right now. Ya can't kill those flattie sixes. Pop a T-5 behind it with 3:55 gears and hit the road. Throw a dual intake on it with some cast headers, I nice flashy paint job and you have something unique. Sure you ain't gonna have 2 - 300 plus horses but who needs it. Of course this JMO. But it sure is something to consider.:D

DO an intro!!! You'll get a lot more help!
What about a nice little smallblock Chrysler...273/340 works really well in the chryco shoeboxes. A guy here in London sold one a couple of years ago, nice car!
OR as stated a HEMI
