Maybe some of you here have heard of a company called ....The Carburettor Doctor From Stoney Plains in Alberta. Is he reputable to deal with because Gary (a friend out here) doesn't like to just give anyone his Visa card details. The carb is a Carter WCD-3888s and by the sound of it the Carb Dr does a rebuild kit for them. Gary has tried to buy a kit locally in his town but no one has been able to get what he wants as yet. Gary is rebuilding his engine and trans etc in a Rambler American. It is a nice honest and very original low mileage car. He has had to rebuild the engine because it was a little smokey and had the trans rebuilt because it was only running as a 2 speed and it is a 3 speed trans, I'm guessing the engine was mainly glazed up because it was just driven around a small western town and had not done much highway use at all going by the miles on it. I think from memory he told me it had been in a shed for some years, just parked up.

Also is there any trick things about these carbs that may need to be modified to make them work better.

Thanks in advance for any help regarding this company.

Cheers, John

Thanks very Much Wayne, I'll ring Gary in the morning and let him know, maybe I'll get him, no I'll ring you tomorrow anyway it goes or maybe Saturday my time, I'll send you an email to let you know what he wants to do.

I'll have to find out how much he has been quoted just for interest sake out here. Mind you I think he would get it quicker from you than he could get one here in Oz. I had a thing I bought from the U.S posted once and had one on order here and they were both posted on the same day and the one from the U.S arrived first. I got both because I knew I would use them on 2 different projects at the time. Stuff from the Old Car Centre in B.C. usually gets here in about 6 days.

I'm only up this late because I have been watching The Tour De France bike race.

Thanks Mate, catch you later, John
