Guys, can anybody tell me how to plumb a Ford pump to a Ford rack? Should be the same as a Chevy pump to a Ford rack? I blew a "jury rigged" fitting and the system went dry by the time I got the car back to the shop. We repaired the fitting, I filled it up again, started the engine and worked the steering wheel back and fourth until the pump quit "burping". The steering is very heavy, like no power steering at all. Could I have damaged something? I didn't put the system together as the car was running when I bought it, so, I don't know if the plumbing was right. Any help is appreciated.

Please disregard the above post. The other evening while driving back home from the shop, I felt a little "bump" in the steering wheel and power steering came back. Might have been dirt or something in the system. It's been OK since.

You know what they say about old plumbing ................. a little burp / fart and everything is working normal again.
