...I.D. this axle...Dodge or Ford Truck?

...forget the spring and batwings....need to know year and make of the axle (owner not sure if it's a Dodge or Ford)....

it's an axle from a dodge or chevy small van from the late 60's early 70's with parallel springs

ok here is my two cents worth,wheel studs rather than bolts make it a non dodge,5 stud rather than 6 makes it a ford not chev,the buggy spring brackets are welded on close to the center bolt area of paralell springs,two large bolt heads on each backing plate indicate manuel adjusters,juice brakes,my guess is a early 50's ford 1/2 ton oh ya 5 on 5 1/2 is commonly ford so I won't bet the farm

rochie,..... i'm disagreein' on that..... its got the ol' girling adjustors on it rather than the later stuff(bendix)..... sooooo earlier ford/binder?? may have came off a roman chariot there link!!................ check fer latin markings!!..

once ya get yerself tucked back in,... we'll try ta talk here..... are the studs 5 on 5 1/2??... then they should be ford..... 5 on 4 1/2,..... they should be dodge or binder.... that axle has been "loved" before if yer checkin' it link...... an' i'm thinkin' that whatever yer playin' with,.... don't need the grief that ol' piece o' shit may wanna give ya!!......... run buddy!!... an' know,..... that we are here ta save ya from catastrophy!!!!...........
