The 46th annual Custom Car Show at Exhibition Place, Toronto will return back to where it all began - The Automotive Building; one of the Canadian automotive industry's most prestigious and legendary venues, rich with a vast historical heritage, will serve host once again for the Annual Speedorama gathering of Hot Rods, Street Machines, and awesome custom cars this coming February 3,4,5, 2006.

Speedorama has always been a car crazy event, and vehicle owners would travel for miles to compete for the honor of winning the Big Prize. February 3,4,5, 2006 is no different as Speedorama once again steps into the spot light and announces that the BIG PRIZE its Best Car On The Planet Award is now a whopping $10,000, cash on top of an additional $20,000, in other cash awards and prizes.

Also returning home and celebrating 50 years as one of the oldest car clubs in Canada, are the Roadmates, who are pleased to announce that once again their club will be host of the nostalgic issue of Speedorama. "We are proud to be able to play host once again to the place where it all began, for us and the show car industry." Said Derek "Duke"Brown, president of the Roadmates Car Club.

Constructed in 1929 by architect Douglas Kertland at a cost of $1 million dollars, the Automotive Building is significantly situated to formally frame the Princes Gates and boulevard. The building is highly visible from both Exhibition Place grounds and the lakefront.
