Feature Sponsor - Ron Francis' Wire Works

We mentioned in a previous article that we've decided to utilize a Ron Francis' Wire Works Advantage main panel and Telorvek injection panel system as the heart of our electrical system. These products, along with all the Wire Works products, share both innovation and quality. These are solid, well engineered pieces. Editor's revision (Nov.7, 2003): Telorvek is now manufacured and supplied by The Detail Zone of Wilmington, Delaware.

The Advantage panel is a very capable performer, providing for all your circuits and accessories. When supplied in kit form for your car, you get everything you need: the panel, wire, switches (lights, ignition), gauge wiring and super-detailed instructions.

Advantage Panel with main feed and panel ground wires

The panel (or terminal block) is "three sided" which allows for installation in tight situations. The terminals are colour keyed to the wire insulation. Neat.

Hard to go wrong.

The Telorvek panel acts as a link between the "wiring harness" (Wire Works wires) and the computer. As mentioned in the earlier article, our plan is to mount both panels in the trunk. This won't be a problem as the Advantage panel can be supplied with extra long wire and the Telorvek panel comes with 20 ft. of wire for each sensor.

Like the Advantage panel, the wire is printed every 5 inches with the name of the destination location and is colour coded.

route to various sensors and other computer terminations.
Once again, it's hard to go wrong when the instructions
are followed.

This is excerpted from a page in the Telorvek instruction guide.
It illustrates the level of detail associated with the kit. With bag i.d.'s
and colour coding, all that's required is the appropriate amount of time.
The Advantage panel instructions have the same level of detail.
Nothing is left to chance in the Wire Works documentation.

There will be much more on these products as we progress with our project. We encourage you to visit the suppliers web sites using the banner above or using the links from our project main page.
