Rodder Wayne Rochon had this to say about the event:
T
his year's show I think was probably the best in a while(Not just my opinion). I talked to several people from both sides of the boarder, and fom both genders. Their reaction to the show was almost universal.

It seems that the quality, fit, and finish has taken a jump this year. It also helped that there were a number of past and current rides we don't get to see. i.e. Trepanier's Intruder, Winfield's gold-fade Caddy, a '58 Chev wagon powered by a Northstar, a black '50 Studebaker that was, in fact, just stunning. The mix was appropriate for the area as well. There was something for just about everybody, real hot rods, muscle, customs lowriders, bikes etc. All in all, a really good jump start to the upcoming season.

Next year will be the year to "be there". It's the 50th anniversary of the show. They're bringing back a lot of the past Ridler Award winners, the "A Brothers" award winners, and, from what I understand, some selected pieces from across the continent. Should be a tremendous show. I grew up in Windsor and (mis)spent a lot time in and around Detroit, and can't remember the last time I DIDN"T go to the show. Next year FOR SURE !!!
