Canadian Rodder Breakfast Table / Open Houses

On January 17, 2004, the Canadian Rodder Breakfast Table (CRBT) got together to eat breakie (naturally), shoot the proverbial (also naturally) and to take in the three open houses in the Cambridge, Ontario area. We were more than pleased that rodders (and a roddess) from all over southern Ontario, eastern Ontario and even Michigan came out. (if you think some of the names are strange, we're using Canadian Rodder nicknames)

About twenty of us met at '50's in Cambridge for breakfast and then we proceeded to stop #1 - Horton Street Rod Products.

Paul Horton held clinics on motor mounts and there were plenty of great products to see and people to talk to.

After leaving Horton's the group proceeded to Cambridge Custom Chrome (CCC) to delve into the mysterious chroming process. Jeannette Fillion and Brian Pollack were on hand to take the many visitors on a tour of the shop and explain how items were prepped and plated. Looking at the tanks, it still remained somewhat mysterious (unless you know your chemistry) but the results are top notch.

Our final stop was Lowdown Hot Rods. There were many project vehicles to see and the Lowdown staff were on hand to answer questions.

If you've followed our project '32, you're already familiar with their quality work.

All in all, a great day.
