What I Did On My Summer Vacation - Part 2 or
Fit For a King But Occupied by Jokers

Another quiz: what do you get when you cross an auto museum, generous people, history, history and history?

Answer: The Jokers Clubhouse
a.k.a. Al's place (as in Engels)

On Monday of Hot Rod week it was open house at the Jokers headquarters in Richmond, California.

Lots of Goodguys and Gals showed up to be treated to Jokers hospitality and the grand tour of one cool collection of cars, all belonging to Al.

This is one fine, and interesting, collection of automobiles and automotive memorabilia.

The first impression when stepping through the door is OH MY GOD. Everything is neat as a pin and spotless - and these cars are driven.

The red Caddy in the photo above, for example, was Al's driver on the California-Canada tour last summer.

Check out this pristine '36.

How about an Austin American 5-window coupe. Looks like a mini Tudor but Austin called it a coupe. It's so cool in person. Very petite.
