A hot rod wedding to be sure as Cathy and Charlie (Ray) tied the knot at Charlie's annual BBQ. Amongst the trees and cars, as promised, Cathy and Charlie, in 50's theme, pledged their love - and we were lovin' it too.

Some of you will know Charlie as "Lonesome Charlie" - Cruise Night DJ. Lonesome no more bud.

Charlie just before the ceremony. We're not sure whether he's waving "hi" or "goodbye". He is smilin' though
.

Cathy and her bridesmaids looked fab, Charlie sported a "Bowtie" bow tie and the minister had flamed shorts (Yow). When the time had come, "Honest" Nate Salter strolled Cathy down an aisle of rods to the cheers of the well wishers and then we all settled down while the couple said their "I do's". All the best you guys.

For your enjoyment and nostalgia trip, I've included the lyrics to Chuck Berry's immortal "You Never Can Tell" because Charlies loves his music.

You Never Can Tell
by Chuck Berry

It was a teenage wedding, and the old folks wished them well
You could see that Pierre did truly love the madamoiselle
And now the young monsieur and madame have rung the chapel bell,
"C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell

They furnished off an apartment with a two room Roebuck sale
The coolerator was crammed with TV dinners and ginger ale,
But when Pierre found work, the little money comin' worked out well
"C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell

They had a hi-fi phono, boy, did they let it blast
Seven hundred little records, all rock, rhythm and jazz
But when the sun went down, the rapid tempo of the music fell
"C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell

They bought a souped-up jitney, 'twas a cherry red '53,
They drove it down to Orleans to celebrate the anniversary
It was there that Pierre was married to the lovely madamoiselle
"C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell

"The Wedding Party"

The happy couple being congratulated by Marie, Sue and Charlie's daughters Kelly and Anne Marie

Oh yeh, did I tell you the minister wore flamed shorts?
